December 30, 2017 - The great grain mill shootout is over, for now. If someone wants me to check out their grain mill, I'll be happy to do so. Right now it's a very close contest between the Komo Fidibus Classic and the MockMill 100. I like them both. And in the next few days I'll be picking one to go back to the vendor and one to pay for and keep.

I'll let you know which one is voted off the island in the new year. Speaking of the new year, please accept our heartiest wishes that you and yours have a happy and healthy New Year.

December 9, 2017 - A few companies have asked us to look at their grain mills. And that is an exciting project! Lots of baking, refining of recipes, and lots of bread to give to friends!

We've mentioned this a few times a few places, but I am retiring in January. This will free up a lot of time to work on our big bread cookbook, to finish the long awaited improvements to this web site, and much else. We are probably going to do some traveling to meet and hang out with some baking heroes.

We weren't sure if we were going to continue our classes, but we have decided that we will. The Bake With Mike schedule will be updated real soon now.
